The
Academy has chosen, as patrons and founts of inspiration in
its cultural mission, artists, great thinkers and famous celebrities,
who were lifelong companions and often mouthpieces of famous.
First and foremost there is LEONARDO da VINCI,
artist, scientist, engineer, naturalist and biologist, a universal
genius and a true cat lover.Leonardo undertook a precise study
of the cat - its physical structure, its ability, its behaviour
and its lifestyle. He defined it as the “Masterpiece of
Nature” and wanted to paint “this marvel of Creation
in the arms of the Creator” - a courageous move, considering
that, in those days, the cat was considered a diabolical presence.

We
ask for your collaboration by inviting you to write to us:
- if you think there is any need to include other fellows
among this narrow list of "mentioned" academics.
- if you want to purpose to add them into the general catalog
of the Past Fellows of the Academy, send their names to
us and, whether they were not yet considered, we will add
them.
